Eiffel 65
Eiffel 65 is a famous 2-piece (formally 3-piece) group who notably released the 1998 hit "Blue (Da Ba Dee)."The group consists of Maurizio "Maury" Lobina, Gianfranco Randone, or Jeffrey Jey, and formerly Gabry Ponte.
Throughout their career, the group has produced many well-known songs, such as: "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" (1998), "Move Your Body" (1999), "Too Much Of Heaven" (1999), "Back In Time" (2001), and "Viaggia Insieme A Me" (2003), though "Blue" remains their most popular track to date.
Gabry Ponte left the group in 2005 to pursure his solo work, and while he did reunite with Eiffel 65 in 2010, he has since stated he is no longer working with them.
Eiffel 65 is known for their distinct vocal processing - achieved via a vocal harmonizer, and their infectious songwriting. Their first album "Europop" (1999) sold over 2 million copies in the US, and achieved great success in many other countries.
While future releases "Contact!" (2001), and "Eiffel 65" (2003) didn't sell as well, Eiffel 65 continue to release music to this day, and plan to release a fourth album at some point in the future.
